The key to developing Hoboken’s old industrial section of the city is a project design that recognizes the transit hub village potential of the light rail along the west side, according to the real estate section of the New York Times.
The article centers on a property owned by Lawrence Bijou, who bought bought a tract at Monroe and Ninth Streets in the summer from Tarragon Properties, With the debate over density of the project, Bijou hired local architect Dean Marchetto who will redesign and scale down the project which includes more green space.

Dean Geibel and his Metro Stop condo complex that opened two years ago at Jackson and Ninth streets and is 75 percent sold welcomed a rental building to the area.

The Bijou rental complex is also expected to provide Zip car service.
